Homeowners don't feel comfortable having loads of people come through their open house without some sort of check-in process. Where does the information go?
Your information is instantly sent to the agent's phone when you are finished checking-in. The brokerage will also have record of all these details in case a crime were to occur. No, the real estate agent will be able to see your info but the homeowner cannot. What the agent may do, is send the homeowner an anonymous breakdown of who came through the open house. For example, 4 came in that don't have an agent, 2 came in that had an agent, and 1 person was an agent. They may also be able to see how many visitors were pre-approved and what their purchase time frame is (some agents may not send this info). THE AGENT WILL NOT PROVIDE THE LIST OF NAMES, PHONE NUMBERS, OR EMAIL ADDRESSES TO THE HOMEOWNERS.
I'm afraid I will receive many emails and phone calls from the agent. How can I ensure that won't happen?
When you come into an open house, you come because you're showing interest in that property. The real estate agent's job is to make sure they are providing you with great service and information if you need/want it. If you are contacted by the agent and do not wish to be contacted, you can simply inform the agent to stop contacting you and they will respect that. I've been to many open houses without the need to sign in. What if I do not want to sign in at a Kleard House?
At a Kleard House, each person is required to fully sign in. You are more than welcome to schedule a private showing with a real estate agent if you are opposed to signing in. That is your choice.
